spiritbox is a relatively new but already highly popular metal band that mixes some electronic production into their hard-hitting sound (sometimes it almost reminds me of trent reznor’s work for quake!). their second album “tsunami sea” just came out! the singer, courtney, has an incredible range from sweet singing to screaming (and even some stuff in between, which is unique!).
this album feels a lot more personal and less mythological than the first, and it hits harder. this is one of the album tracks and it’s an early favorite of mine (the wide range of vocal techniques stands out here), but if you like what you hear i definitely encourage checking out the whole release.
