sleep token is an esoteric band blending metal with a variety of genres and that’s on full display here. they love to wrap their work into riddles and have a rabidly loyal fanbase, and it seems the pressure is getting to vessel, the singer and lyricist/composer–this is showing a dark side of him.
due to being busy i haven’t been able to listen to this one more than a few times so far, but it’s been living in my head rent free, i absolutely love how it builds up to the huge climax at the end, and the drums are fantastic as always. really cool to see them have massive success (now protect vessel 🙏)
