the other day my son came home and showed me a sticker his teacher gave. cute sticker of a puppy, right? WRONG. AI SLOP.

the thing is, i didn’t really look at it closely and i didn’t think anything of it at first. but the local community theater is using AI slop for their posters. the stupid useless slop is invading the real world.

and now, our son wants to put this sticker on his lunchbox, because he thinks his teacher would really love that (he’s absolutely right of course–what a display of emotional intelligence!). but what am i supposed to do with this???

and then i saw this video from jerryrigeverything a few days ago:

i don’t want to spend the rest of my life looking at everything with this lens. i don’t want to think about AI slop my whole life. it’s making me insane.

The sad thing is the teacher probably didn’t even know it was generated- just bought a cheap pack of stickers… BUT maybe send your son to school with a letter for the teacher with tips for detecting AI art and why it’s bad >:(

  yeah i feel like the teacher is mostly a victim in this also, possibly the sticker was given to her from a parent… so many different things. thats a good thought though, i might consider that!
